Handmade Silver Jewelry by Jo

Everyday wearable jewelry, & assorted other objects

Creating jewelry for over 10 years, my style has developed into “Everyday Wearable Art” striving to make quality pieces that are different or unusual, yet easy to wear. Everything I make is one-of-a-kind or in very limited editions.

Living in Arizona, I use many materials that are native to the Southwest including: sterling silver, copper, quality semi-precious gemstones, glass, and beads; such as: turquoise, chrysocholla, etc.  I create mainly by fabrication, wire wrapping, beading, Precious Metal Clay, and a few other mediums. I enjoy beginning a project to see where it takes me.

My metal work is made with sheet or wire, mainly sterling silver, fine silver, or copper, and everything is made by hand. I prefer to cut, form, pour, forge, pierce, bend, and twist with conventional tools. Hammers and other tools add texture to my pieces. I also enjoy making chain; designing and forging the connectors or clasps for my pieces.
